Dairy Industry
Who We Are
Leading suppliers of hygienic tubes & fittings for dairy processing.
We manufacture the finest quality of hygienic stainless-steel tubes, dairy fittings and EP tube assemblies for critical dairy applications — from raw milk collection to UHT aseptic filling — in a fully automated production line under stringent quality controls.
For over 17 years, our commitment to quality and customer service has driven every order. Our mission is to provide hygienic stainless-steel tube systems for dairy applications that comply with 3-A Sanitary Standards, BS 4825, and ASTM A270 S2.
The internal surface finish of dairy process tubes is critical — milk proteins, butterfat, and CIP chemicals all interact with the tube bore. Our in-house proprietary electropolishing ensures Ra ≤ 0.38 µm ID — exceeding 3-A requirements and enabling fully validated CIP/SIP dairy process lines.
3-A & BS 4825
Certified hygienic tube and fitting manufacturing — meeting the strictest dairy sanitary standards globally.
Ra ≤ 0.38 µm
In-house EP delivers SF4-grade internal surface finish — critical for CIP-cleanable dairy lines.
Controlled Sulphur
S range 0.005–0.017% for consistent orbital welding — no high-S or low-S weld defects.
Full MTR
Heat-number marked tubes with full material test report traceability for every order.
Why EP Matters in Dairy
Electropolishing Advantages for Dairy Processing
Prevents Milk Protein Adhesion
Mirror-smooth Ra ≤ 0.38 µm EP surface prevents casein and whey protein from bonding to tube walls — reducing fouling between cleaning cycles and extending CIP intervals.
Superior Corrosion Resistance
Dairy processes involve lactic acid, CIP chemicals (NaOH, HNO₃, peracetic acid) and thermal cycling. 316L with EP passive layer Cr/Fe > 2.0 resists all these environments reliably.
3-A & BS 4825 Hygienic Compliance
All rensa hygienic tubes meet 3-A Sanitary Standards (USA) and BS 4825 (UK) — the two primary regulatory frameworks for dairy equipment surface finish and material specification.
CIP/SIP Validated Performance
EP surfaces are fully CIP-cleanable and SIP-sterilisable. Smooth surface morphology allows cleaning chemicals to flush residues without mechanical scrubbing, reducing cleaning time and chemical usage.
Controlled Sulphur Tubes
Sulphur content control is critical for orbital welding — both high and low sulphur cause unacceptable weld quality in dairy CIP lines. Our tubes maintain the ideal range.
- Sulphur range 0.005–0.017% (EN 1.4404 & 1.4435)
- Ideal for orbital welding — avoids high-S or low-S weld defects
- Consistent weld pool penetration and bead geometry
- Suitable for automated TIG orbital welding systems
- Critical for CIP/SIP validated dairy process lines

Dairy Equipment We Supply & Finish
From pasteurisation lines to CIP circuits — rensa hygienic tubes deliver 3-A compliant EP finishes across every product-contact surface in the dairy process flow.
Pasteuriser & HTST Heat Exchanger Lines
Material: SS316L / 1.4404
Without rensa EP
- Protein deposits on rough surfaces reduce heat transfer efficiency
- Corrosion from thermal cycling and CIP acid cleaning
- Micro-pits harbour pathogens between CIP cycles
With rensa EP Ra ≤ 0.38 µm
- EP Ra ≤ 0.38 µm — protein deposits flush clean in CIP
- Cr/Fe > 2.0 passive layer resists acid CIP and high-temperature cycling
- No pathogen-harbouring micro-crevices on mirror-EP surface
Raw Milk Transfer & Collection Pipework
Material: SS304L / SS316L
Without rensa EP
- Rough surfaces accumulate butterfat and protein residues
- Micro-roughness at weld zones is primary biofilm initiation site
- Frequent CIP cycles required — high chemical consumption
With rensa EP Ra ≤ 0.38 µm
- BA / MP surface prevents butterfat adhesion
- Weld zones electropolished to same Ra as tube body
- Longer CIP intervals — reduced chemical and water usage
UHT & Aseptic Filling Lines
Material: SS316L / 1.4404
Without rensa EP
- Unvalidated surface finish fails aseptic FDA/EU audit requirements
- Surface roughness causes turbulent flow zones — incomplete sterilisation
- Particle shedding from corroded surfaces contaminates product
With rensa EP Ra ≤ 0.38 µm
- EP Ra ≤ 0.38 µm meets 3-A/EHEDG requirements for aseptic design
- Smooth bore ensures laminar flow profile — complete sterilisation
- Zero corrosion-originated particle contamination
Cheese Vat, Whey & Cream Processing
Material: SS316L / Duplex SS
Without rensa EP
- Lactic acid and whey proteins corrode rough 304L surfaces
- Fat globule adhesion on rough surfaces leads to rancidity risk
- Cross-contamination between product batches via surface residues
With rensa EP Ra ≤ 0.38 µm
- 316L EP passive layer resists lactic acid attack
- Mirror-smooth EP surface prevents fat globule adhesion
- Complete batch-to-batch product segregation on EP surfaces
CIP / SIP Circuits & Return Headers
Material: SS316L / 1.4404
Without rensa EP
- Rough crevices in CIP headers retain cleaning chemical residues
- Incomplete SIP sterilisation in micro-pitted surfaces
- Corrosion from repeated NaOH / peracetic acid cycling
With rensa EP Ra ≤ 0.38 µm
- EP smooth headers flush completely — zero chemical residue retention
- Complete SIP sterilisation on mirror-EP surfaces
- 316L EP passive layer withstands repeated CIP/SIP chemical cycling
Grade Selection
Grade & Surface Finish Reference
Ra values per ASTM A270 S2. Select grade and finish based on product media, temperature, and CIP chemistry.
| Application | Grade | Finish ID | Finish OD | Ra ID (µm) | Ra OD (µm) | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Raw Milk Transfer & Collection | 304L / 1.4307 | BA / MP | MP | < 0.8 | < 0.8 | Suitable for cold milk at Cl⁻ ≤ 200 mg/l |
| Pasteurisation & HTST Lines | 316L / 1.4404 | EP (SF4) | MP | < 0.38 | < 0.8 | 316L required above 50 °C process temperature |
| CIP / SIP Return Lines | 316L / 1.4404 | BA / MP | MP | < 0.8 / 0.5 | < 0.8 | 316L for NaOH, HNO₃ & peracetic acid compatibility |
| UHT & Aseptic Processing | 316L / 1.4404 | EP (SF4) | MP | < 0.38 | < 0.8 | Mirror EP essential for validated aseptic lines |
| Cheese Vat, Whey & Cream Lines | 316L / 1.4404 | MP / EP | MP | < 0.5 / 0.38 | < 0.8 | 316L for lactic acid and high-fat product lines |
| Chilled Water / Compressed Air | 304L / 1.4307 | BA | MP | < 0.8 | < 0.8 | Utility lines — BA finish acceptable |
316L / 1.4404 is mandatory when process temperature exceeds 50 °C or when NaOH / HNO₃ CIP chemicals are used.
304L / 1.4307 is suitable for cold milk transfer at Cl⁻ ≤ 200 mg/l and temperature ≤ 50 °C.
EP (SF4) finish with Ra ≤ 0.38 µm is required for all CIP-validated and aseptic dairy process lines.
3-A Sanitary Standard requires Ra ≤ 0.8 µm (32 µin) for product-contact surfaces — rensa EP exceeds this at Ra ≤ 0.38 µm.
