Controlled from pre-treatment through to final documentation — every parameter logged.

Pre-Treatment

Component cleaning, degreasing and surface conditioning to remove contamination before EP.

Electropolishing

Precision-controlled bath chemistry — current density, temperature and time logged for every batch.

Ra / Rz Measurement

Surface roughness verified with calibrated stylus profilometer per component or batch sample.

Cr/Fe Verification

Oxide layer chemistry tested by XPS/AES — Cr/Fe ratio recorded against target spec.

Passivation

Citric or nitric passivation to specification, with soak time and concentration logged.

06

Documentation Pack

EP bath log, Ra/Rz data, Cr/Fe ratio, passivation record and visual inspection report compiled.

Quality Assurance

EP Quality & Traceability

Every rensa Edge batch is subject to six QA checkpoints — from bath chemistry to passivation verification.

Profilometry Ra / Rz

Calibrated stylus profilometer — results recorded per component / batch sample against agreed target spec.

EP Bath Chemistry

Phosphoric-sulphuric bath composition, current density, temperature and immersion time logged per batch.

Cr/Fe Oxide Ratio

XPS analysis for high-grade and mirror EP — Cr/Fe > 2.5 achieved and documented for defence-grade parts.

Passivation Verification

Passivation confirmed by copper sulphate test or high-humidity test per ASTM A967 / ISO 16048.

Full EP Data Pack

Bath log, Ra/Rz report, Cr/Fe record, passivation cert and visual inspection report shipped with every order.
